Honoring Legacy, Driving Impact: Third Annual Golf Classic Supports Community Healthcare (Shreveport, LA)
Shreveport, LA – The Third Annual John Wheless Memorial Golf Classic united more than 20 four-player teams and 19 generous sponsors for a day filled with spirited competition, camaraderie, and meaningful community impact — all in celebration of a legacy dedicated to serving others. The tournament was held at Querbes Park Golf Course, the oldest and most historic active golf course in the region. Querbes recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, adding a sense of tradition and history to an event already rooted in legacy.
Hosted by SRES agent Jackson Wheless, the tournament once again supported St. Luke’s Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry, a nonprofit that delivers compassionate, mobile healthcare to underserved areas throughout Northwest Louisiana. Through its fully equipped medical RV, St. Luke’s provides preventive care, health education, and referrals to patients who might otherwise go without access to essential medical services.
“Remembering my dad in a way that reflects who he was, his love for golf, family, faith, and community, means more than I can say,” Jackson shared. “Your support helps keep his legacy and his heart for helping others alive.”

Additionally, SRES Marketing Director Kate Grice dedicated her expertise and personal time to amplify the event’s visibility.
